michelob shock top...

Very similar to Blue Moon beer...

A Belgium white...

logan paul...

The name of my cousin Paula's newborn baby...

Logan was born last night, five nights after Paula's mother passed away...

I am happy, yet sad...

ed wang...

The Buffalo Bills 5th round pick out of Virginia Tech. Wang is an offensive tackle and of Chinese descent. His parents were both members of the Chinese Olympic track team in the 70's. His father competed in the high jump and his mother was a hurdler.

He's 6'5 and 314 pounds. Ed Wang may become the first Chinese-American to play in the NFL. Apparently, he was the first Chinese-American picked in the NFL Draft...

With San Francisco's large Chinese population- Wang would have been a good fit with the Niners...

Virginia Tech had an Asian-American, specifically a Korean-American drafted in the 1st round of the NFL Draft- Eugene Chung who was the 13th overall pick by New England in 1992. Chung played 5 years in the league.

roger goodell...

The NFL Commissioner loves to hug...

In all my years watching NBA and NFL drafts, I've never seen a commissioner hug so many draftees and hold those hugs so long...

Good for him. Hugs are a good thing...

jimmy clausen...

I can't believe this kid was still around @ the 48th pick? I saw him play in person in his last game against Stanford and he's definitely an NFL quarterback...

The Carolina Panthers were lucky to pick Clausen from Notre Dame...

2010 nfl draft...

Been half asleep, barely watching the draft thus far...

Some of my thoughts...

Was sorry to see Clemson running back C.J. Spiller get drafted #9 by Buffalo. I wanted to Niners to nab him...

Watched CAL's Tyson Alualu play many times live throughout his career and was never impressed. I'm happy for the kid for being picked so high- #10 overall by Jacksonville...

San Diego Chargers picking Fresno State running back Ryan Mathews @ 12. I believe Stanford's Toby Gerhart is better than him...

Niners picking tackle Rutgers' Anthony Davis @ 11 and guard Idaho's Mike Iupati @ 17... I like both picks.

eloise kurata...

My Aunt... My Father's sister... She passed away last night Hawaii time...

She was the best aunt a nephew could have...

Eloise Kurata was 79 years old, just shy of her 80th birthday when she succumbed to that hideous disease- pancreatic cancer...

My Aunt Eloise died without being able to see the birth of her grandson... My cousin Paula is scheduled to give birth in a week or so...

I will always be appreciative of her...

She really was the best...

vanessa williams...

Just saw her on GMA(Good Morning America) and it brought back memories how good looking she is in person. I saw her last year in San Francisco and she's absolutely beautiful up close and personal...

She's currently on Broadway in SONDHEIM ON SONDHEIM.

In late January, I saw her former UGLY BETTY costar America Ferrara @ the Sundance Film Festival- she's not bad looking in person...

My favorite Vanessa Williams song is DREAMIN'...

ted's bakery...

Didn't try their famous chocolate haupia pie, but I did partake in a slice of guava cream pie. Well, I thought it was guava? Guava cream pie isn't listed on their website?
Perhaps, it was strawberry cream pie?

Anyway, you need not take the trek to the North Shore to enjoy their luscious pies- they are sold @ Don Quijote in Honolulu...

And you don't need to buy a whole pie- they also sell it by the slice...

nba...

Up until yesterday, I wasn't even aware that the NBA was in the playoffs...

Being in Hawaii for almost four weeks has lessened my desire to keep up with sports...

I'm actually more excited about baseball and my San Francisco Giants...

lee's bakery and kitchen...

Located on King St in Chinatown in Honolulu...

My aunt brought a custard pie from this bakery over to a family gathering on Sunday and I must admit it was the best one I've ever eaten...

Just went by @ 5am this morning and to my dismay, the custard pies and peanut butter mochi won't be ready until 8am. C'est la vie...

rainbow drive-in...

After going to the Farmers Market @ Kapiolani Community College @ the foot of Diamond Head, my mother and I have been partaking in the house made corn beef hash @ Rainbow Drive-In which is delicious...

As per Hawaii style, the corn beef hash is served with rice and gravy, in addition to an over easy egg...
