the philandering mayor's wife...

Apparently, she paid $75K to secure a part in a film and get a producer credit. Now, she's suing the producer of the film. Obviously, the airhead didn't get an acting role in the film and she's nowhere to be seen on imdb.com as a producer of the flick. The bimbo has had a history of paying bucks to secure a part in a movie and then get a producer's credit. That's a great way to start a movie career. Instead of fucking a producer to get a part, just have mommy and daddy buy a role for you. The philanderer/alcoholic/cokehead and the bimbo/airhead/idiot deserve each other...

I will not post a pic of the pair...

the power of the mind...

Just the other day, I was thinking about a redhead who's a member of my club who I hadn't seen for awhile. Well, yesterday she appeared right in front of me while I was on the bench press. It just boggles my mind that this happens all the time. You think of someone and "bang" you see them... And in this instance, bang was on my mind...

Oddly enough she was carrying around a Poland Spring bottle of water. I relate Poland Spring to New York. It's basically the only bottle water they sell in Manhattan. I've seen the "redhead" for a few years @ the club and had never talked to her. Yesterday, I had to comment on her Poland Spring water. I asked her if she had just been in New York. She said she was in Philly and Jersey. Close enough...

back in the city...

I've only been in San Jose since wednesday, but it seems like I've been away for a long, long time and I was only about 50+ miles away. I'm happy to be back in San Francisco...

The photo has nothing to do with San Jose, but it is a photo of a photo @ a gallery on Sutter St..

gene upshaw...

I was shocked to hear of his passing @ 63. Much too young to leave his wife and sons. I was a fan of Upshaw during his playing career and respected his work with NFLPA up until recent years...

His indifference towards retired players really pissed me off! Many of whom are disabled and can't pay their medical bills. This is not just a problem steered @ the NFL Players Association, but blame must also be directed @ the owners. And the current commissioner of the NFL- Roger Goodall...

Football is such a brutal sport that many ex-players really can't hold down a normal job and they are permanently disabled. Upshaw, as a former player should have had more empathy for his peers. One of his teammates on the offensive line Jim Otto had his leg amputated last year.

May Gene Upshaw rest in peace and may formers players have their medical bills taken care of and get more money in pension.

I must say that Major League Baseball takes care of their players. If I'm not mistaken, one day of major league service translates into lifetime medical benefits...

peets on chesnut...

I believe it's the first location of Peets in the City? Peets are now on nearly block in downtown, but to me, Peets has lost some of its luster for being so accessible. I just hope the quality doesn't go downhill?

Yesterday, I sat on the bench in front of Peets and noshed on a sandwich from Lucca accompanied by a large cup of coffee. It really did bring back memories...

madison bumgarner...

Interesting name... Thanks to John Shea's blurb in todays Comicle, I became familiar with the Giants 2007 1st round pick(10th overall). Madison is a left handed pitcher and just turned 19 years old- just a year out of high school. Shea is comparing Bumgarner to Lincecum(10th overall pick in 2006). Both are 13-3 thus far this season. But you really can't compare a class A(Augusta Green Jackets) team to the big leagues. I'd like to see this kid pitching for the high single A affiliate San Jose Giants.

If Madison is anything close to Lincecum, then we have a lefty for the future who will eventually replace Noah Lowery. Or maybe Barry Zito...

barry zito...

Unbelievably, he threw seven scoreless innings yesterday to notch his seventh win of the season. I have a bet with a friend of mine that Zito will win more games than Matt Cain. As of today, I'm one behind and I was about to concede the wager last weekend when Cain took a two game lead. I still think I'm going to lose, but it goes to show you, "it ain't over till the fat lady sings..."

Pictured with Alyssa Milano. Zito has a slight resemblance to Criss Angel...

travis ishikawa...

I'm very happy that he was just promoted from Fresno to the Giants! He was having a hell of a year in the minors with the AAA Grizzlies and the AA Connecticut Defenders. Less than two weeks ago, I saw Travis hit a home run @ Chukchansi Park in beautiful downtown Fresno. Ishikawa has 24 home runs and 94 rbi combined with the Grizzlies and the Defenders.

I just saw Travis hit a double on television against the Astros in Houston. He has really improved in the past year. Just last year, I saw Ishikawa playing for Single A San Jose Giants and he just didn't look like major league material. I actually gave up on him.

As Mike Krukow just said on Comcast Sportsnet, "the ball just jumps off his bat." I like that!

sunset tan...

It really is a piece of shit quasi reality show and I'm watching it while writing this post. This is one of the most scripted reality shows I've ever seen. Another being the one with Gene Simmons of KISS. The show has a bunch of good looking chicks and a couple of them have been Playboy models. I'm not proud of myself for watching Sunset Tan...

Pictured are the no-talent Olly girls. These chicks need to be in Playboy. BTW, Janelle Perry is one of the Playboy models who manages the new store in Vegas @ The Palms. The other is Heidi Cortez who is known for her SeXXXy noises CD and had a three part pictorial in Playboy's Cyber Club. Heidi appeared on Howard Stern several times.

This show is so bad, it's good...

scott mcclain...

He's a 36 year old first baseman/third baseman/designated hitter for the Fresno Grizzlies, the AAA affiliate of the San Francisco Giants. Scott has 285 home runs in the minors and that doesn't include 67 he hit in Japan. McClain has a total of 352 home runs in professional baseball and not one in the major leagues. Scott has 23 HR thus far this season.

This guy needs to be on the Giants right now! Hell, we're a shitty team, why not bring in some excitement by promoting a 36 year old with only 45 career @ bats in the Show.

He's way better than that butcher we have @ 1st base- Bowker. Put him @ 3rd. Jose Castillo is just an average player.

Scott McClain needs to be on the Giants!!

After I wrote this post, Bowker was sent down to Fresno and Castillo got cut. I must be psychic... Although, McClain still hasn't been promoted.

fuck spain's olympic basketball team...

It really appalls me in this day and age when such a racist ad can appear in a spanish newspaper. I won't even bother to mention that fucking rags name.

Honestly, I haven't seen this kind of bullshit since I was a kid and that was many, many years ago. Fuck Pau Gasol! And fuck those other no name Spaniards playing in the NBA!

If you can't figure out what those motherfuckers are doing- those assholes are using their fingers to slant their eyes to mock Chinese and Asians in general. Again, fuck those motherfuckers!!!!

cohort...

COHORT: a supporter or companion. Colleague, associate, friend. I suggested to a person who works @ yelp- since her video camera was broken, perhaps one of her COHORTS @ yelp could lend her a camera to film a tribute to the City that she loves...

ARod and Jeter are COHORTS, teammates, but not as close as they once were. ARod is a douche bag with frosted hair anyway. He frosts what's left of his hair.

the olympics...

I'm concerned about only two countries- the US and Japan. I'm very happy that Japan's Kosuke Kitajima won the gold in the 100m breaststroke in world record time. I'm also looking forward to seeing Japan play baseball. I'm sure a few of their players will be playing in the Major League in the near future.

Michael Phelps is a phenomenal swimmer and he'll shatter the record for most gold medals in Olympic history, but I don't see him winning eight golds in Beijing. He'll either tie Mark Spitz's record or come up short...

The Japanese female swimmer pictured with Kitajima is Aya Terakawa.

After I wrote this post, Kitajima won another gold in the 200m breaststroke just under world record time.

365 sour cream & onion veggie chips...

They're probably bad for me, but I can't stop eating them. Man, they're tasty. And from Whole Foods. They cost only $1.79...

Pictured is the original flavor, which I thought I bought?

ayola...

I really enjoy having lunch @ this joint. You can get a small gyro with their peppered fries and a canned soft drink for $8.90 including tax. That's a hell of a deal! And quite a satisfying meal... BTW, Ayola is located on Kearney between Bush and Pine.

The restaurant Paladar next door is fair @ best in my humble opinion.

msm...

I just realized what it stands for... Mainstream media. For a second there I thought it was Microsoft media. MSM can also be called corporate media. It took the National Enquirer which could be categorized as corporate media with a renegade touch to break the John Edwards story. MSM wouldn't touch the story for about six months.

Let's get back to Edwards, the guy could have picked a better looking chick to fuck around with. That Rielle Hunter/Lisa Druck is a serious head case. People may think I'm bullshitting, but I have always felt that there was something not quite right with Edwards. Now, he can drift into oblivion...

stephanie rice...

The Australian shattered the world record in the 400m IM winning the gold medal and became the glamour girl of the Beijing Olympics...

3rd annual urban wine experience...

I'm on my way. This is my first time. I'm a virgin. I'm a big fan of Rosenblum, therefore I go to many of the events they participate in.

It's from 2-5 and as always, I look forward to taking the ferry across the Bay.

It was a beautiful day on the lawn just across from the ferry landing @ Jack London Square. My tasting didn't start off on a positive note, when the bitch who was pouring for J.C. Cellars asked me in a condescending tone, "what do you want?" I didn't go back to that fucking place and I will not buy wine from that winery because of that wench...

Other than that negative moment, it was a phenomenal time in Oaktown!

aaron rowand...

Tough player with a World Series ring, but he isn't worth 12 mill a year. You don't build a team around someone like Rowand. As I said to a friend earlier in the season- this guy is a good guy to have on your team, but someone who shouldn't be your best everyday player. With the White Sox and the Phillies, Aaron was the 4th or 5th best position player @ best...

Another thing, his numbers in Philly were inflated by an offensive friendly park. He hit a career high in homers last season with 27. I don't see Rowand getting much more than half that amount this year.

The guy is built like Ron Cey and I'm sure he's a great guy in the clubhouse, but the Giants will continue to be a sub-.500 team with this guy leading the way. I'd rather have assholes like Barry Bonds and Jeff Kent on my team...

oakland a's...

Mired in a ten game losing streak, what looked like a surprisingly good season is turning into a nightmare. I am first and foremost a Giants fan, but I do have an affection for the A's. It's helped that a friend of mine has weekend season tickets.

Frankly, I'm sick and tired of Billy Beane...

The pic is of my friend Allen Nakamura who is Comcast's All-Star Teacher with unspecified Comcast employees during the root beer float day @ the Coliseum. The event raised money for juvenile diabetes. I find it somewhat odd in selling loads of sugar to help this worthy cause? I must admit the A's have excellent promotions...

chukchansi park...

It looks like Hukchansi Pa- I didn't get the whole name into the shot. Great venue for minor league baseball in Fresno, CA. Home of the Fresno Grizzlies who are the AAA affiliate of the San Francisco Giants. Their mascot Parker is fantastic!

voyager $99...

Fuck! I paid $250 for the thing and I really don't like it. The only good thing about the voyager is the keyboard- making it easier to text. The problem is that texts, whether incoming or outgoing are 20 cents a pop for me. I should have bought an iPhone...

I changed my plan so I get 250 texts for $5...

tunnel vision...

This shot reminds me of a Hitchcock film. We drove through this tunnel on our way to Sausalito. From now on, I'm going to attempt to use only my own photography on this blog...

a nighttime view of the golden gate bridge...

After having a couple bottles of wine and a burger @ the Farley Bar @ Carvallo Point, my crazy friend dragged me up to the point overlooking the Golden Gate Bridge. It was pitch black walking through the trail, yet the view was well worth the effort...

nynote to myself...

Actually, you can get some decent service @ Macys Union Square every once in awhile. Today, I learned from a nice young cashier on the second floor women's shoes area(salon) that one can pay their Macys with a debit card. Now, that's a real good thing!

Another thing- since I'm a quasi Hawaii resident, I can go up to the visitor's center on the 6th floor and get an 11% coupon. Plus, get a drinkable cup of coffee for gratis.

a promise to myself to be a more consistent blogger...

It's August 1st and I have to write more on my blog this month. I spend too much time writing on yelp. To me, that's not a good thing. And forget about wasting my time on that facebook bullshit. It's not me...
.
BTW, I'm a big Giants fan, but I still enjoy watching the A's, although they're looking more and more like a AAA team. I like the cap...
