thinking about someone much too much...

I haven't felt this way about a woman for quite some time...

She has dominated my thoughts and has invaded my dreams...

However, I realize this is only temporary and sooner or later, I must come to my senses...

3-hour tarmac limit...

In the back of my mind, I've always been a bit apprehensive about flying Jet Blue since the horror story about passengers being stranded 11 hours on the tarmac @ JFK in January 2007. Although, I've only heard great things about the airline...

The government has imposed a 3-hour tarmac limit. I believe it should be 2-hours...

I'm just thankful I haven't been stuck on the tarmac too long in my life...

specialty's cafe & bakery...

The fresh turkey and cheese croissant is amazing!!

It's huge, flaky, and tasty...

And they use real turkey meat, not from a roll...

Okay, the croissant isn't one you'd get in Paris...

However, it's on my top ten list for eats in the City...

peter king...

I read his column in Sports Illustrated, but generally I think he's an idiot... I like Don Banks of SI much more...

I take issue with his criticism of Randy Moss who came back on Sunday to catch a touchdown pass in New England's victory over Buffalo. Moss finished with 5 catches for 70 yards.

King wrote that Moss wasn't getting open. In 14 games, Moss has 74 catches for 1144 yards with 10 TDs. That's more catches and receiving yards than last year when the overrated and now overpaid Matt Cassel was slinging passes to Moss.

My goodness, Randy Moss is still only 32 years old and he has 145 TD receptions. That's #2 on the all-time touchdown receiving list. I believe Moss has 146 TDs total which would tie him with T.O. for 4th on the all-time total touchdown list behind Rice, Emmitt Smith, and LT. Moss is #6 all-time receiving yards with 14,345. Next season, he should be 2nd or 3rd all-time. Only the great Jerry Rice's 22,895 yards seem insurmountable...

King favorite Wes Welker is a great receiver, but he's no Randy Moss. The guy has only 16 TD receptions in his six year career. Moss has had 3 seasons in his career with 16 or more touchdown receptions in a season.

Granted Moss had a bad game last week in which he seemed to quit on the team, but he came roaring back the next game.

If not for his two lost years in Oakland, Randy's overall stats would be out of this world.

Peter King really doesn't know football as much as he thinks he does...

King in his Monday Morning Quarterback in SI sure changed his tune about Moss...

clueless...

I'm saddened by the death of Brittany Murphy who was featured in the film...

I just can't believe the film is nearly 15 years old...

Paul Rudd has turned out to be the breakout star from the movie and I think most people would have thought Alicia Silverstone...

The late Murphy had a more successful film career than Silverstone thus far. Who knows, perhaps Alicia will have a career renaissance- she's still only 32 years old.

mike wallace...

Not the old fuck on 60 Minutes, but the rookie wide receiver for the Steelers out of Ole Miss.

The kid made a hell of a catch and kept his feet inbounds in the end zone from Rothlisberger to win the game with no time left on the clock...

Big Ben threw for over 500 yards against the Packers.

What a day in the NFL!!

raiders 20 broncos 19...

I love it!!!!

The petulant punk kid coach of Denver is getting his just desserts...

JaMarcus Russell comes in to throw the game winning TD!!

Is JaMarcus back, I doubt it, but it was a great moment for the kid!!

He went to Franklin High School, I went to Rainier Beach. He was one year ahead of me...

He was in a band called Tamaraw in high school that was a jazz/funk band that consisted of mostly Asians and a jewish kid named Kenny Gorelick... Some of those Asian brothers went to my high school. And I knew them.

He went to UDub and so did I, we were in the same Japanese language class for one year. I remember him carrying around his sax @ all times...

One of my favorite songs from Stevie Wonder's Innervisions album from 1973...

I'm currently watching the film THE DARWIN AWARDS and the song is featured in the film.

The other day a facebook friend of mine asked his friends on the site, which song really moves them. Off the top of my head I chose DONT YOU WORRY BOUT A THINGG...

Doesn't that happen all of the time- you think of something and it appears before your eyes...

dallas lowe...

Check out her interview skills on Naughty Americans. It's a sister site to the porn site Naughty America.

Dallas was in the City during the Lovefest or LovEvolution or whatever the fuck they called the thing a couple of months ago interviewing females about their sexual fantasies. Very interesting...

Ms. Lowe does more than a few funny impressions. I foresee a bright career for Dallas...

headcase milton bradley to the mariners...

There is no doubt troubled Bradley is a talent and I believe he will help the Mariners who have acquired a big time free agent like Chone Figgins and one of the best pitchers in baseball- Cliff Lee.

The Mariners in turn got rid of the big contract of underachieving and corpulent Carlos Silva who I believe was part of the anti-Ichiro brigade during the 2008 season.

I am from Seattle, therefore I am a Mariners fan...

an iphone genius...

A couple of months ago, I brought in an iPhone in for repair @ the Apple Store on Stockton and I was assisted by an attractive iPhone specialist named Lauren. To make a long story short, she replaced my iPhone 3G and I was overjoyed! The next day I subsequently sold the iPhone for amount that I payed for a new 3GS model. Phenomenal!

Anyway, coincidentally Lauren also works @ RN74 and I had met her about a month earlier. I just couldn't place her in her Apple garb as opposed to her RN74 wear...

How fantastic is it to know someone like Lauren who is an iPhone expert and also works @ a very nice wine bar/restaurant in the City...

nick johnson to the yankees...

For a reported one year deal for $5.5M. The Yanks could have had Matsui for $6.5 for one season and he's the reining World Series MVP...

What the fuck is Cashman and the Steinbrenner boys thinking?

I'm happy that the Giants didn't sign the fat fuck Johnson...

Sure, Johnson plays first, but Matsui can play first and I bet he'll be healthy enough to play outfield next season...

I've definitely become less of a Yankees fan in the past week...

chelsea...

She's a member of my club and works as a bartender @ Amber India.

Amber has a great happy hour like most restaurants in this day and age.

There are three very attractive barkeeps who work @ Amber featuring Chelsea.

arkasha ames...

I just encountered a model in the Playboy Cyber Club and her name strikes me as a porn star name...

I usually don't post nude pics, hell recently, I haven't posted any photos with my blog, but today is an exception.

I won't be surprised to see Arkasha Ames in Naughty America in the near future...

arod vs tiger woods...

ARod finally reached the pinnacle of baseball success with a World Series ring last month... I don't believe when or if Rodriguez surpasses Bonds on the all-time homerun list that the record will have the cache since it will be tainted with steroid use.

Other than the 5 major titles Woods has left to surpass Jack Nicklaus, the bland one has been golf's best for over a decade. But I must write that golf is an individual sport as opposed to baseball, a team sport, but not to the same degree as football... I would explain, but that's another post...

ARod was outed several times for philandering and he lost his wife in the process, but he has been linked to several high profile females in the past and taken media hits for it.

Woods has been using his wood on many chicks while married, but his image has been so guarded that every ho he has plowed is coming out of the woodwork to get a piece of the money pie. And he should lose his wife in the process...

I'm not a big fan of Alex, but he has finally proven to be a winner and the guy has been tabloid fodder for years. He's taken his hits on and off the field...

Tiger just bores the hell out of me. I'm fucking tired of reading about him...

ARod just broke up with the very overrated Kate Hudson. And he's trolling for new chicks in Miami- more power to him...

I'm definitely liking Alex better than that dull Woods...

And they both have something in common- steroid or HGH or some kind of performance enhancing drug use...

chris henry...

I was saddened to hear of his death this morning. Yesterday, after reports of Henry suffering life threatening injuries, I was expecting sad news today...

I've followed Henry's career from the beginning and he was one of the most gifted wide receivers I've ever seen.

I was surprised that the Bengals re-signed him after all his off field incidents, but I've come to the realization that owner Mike Brown is a real compassionate man who believes in giving people a second chance and in Henry's case, many chances...

HBO's HARD KNOCKS gave viewers an inside look @ the Cincinnati Bengals and I must admit that I was pulling for Chris Henry to succeed. His forearm injury last month derailed his football career and now his life is over...

It really is sad...

marciana...

I want to give a shout out to her and I hope she has a very Merry Christmas...

muni fast pass will be $70 starting in january...

This is the second increase in six months. It's still a great deal because one can ride the cable car with a fast pass and ride BART within the City.

However, a $25 increase since June is a bit excessive....

Tuesday, December 15, 2009

tiger woods on steroids...

I don't condone his philandering, but the media has gone hog wild over it.

I truly believe Woods have taken HGH or some other performance enhancing drug.

The bottom line is when you protect your so-called pristine image too much, there is always skeletons in your closet...

jake locker returning to uw for his senior season...

That news made me happier than you'll ever know...

Locker is without a doubt my favorite Husky football player since Sonny Sixkiller and that's going back too many years...

Hopefully, Jake stays healthy and we get a bowl bid next year...

hideki matsui to the angels...

2009 World Series MVP signs with the team that beat my Giants in the 2002 World Series. I fucking hate it!!

Why didn't the San Francisco Giants sign Matsui? I believe the guy can still play outfield...

Hell, Hideki can play first base. If the G-Man sign Nick Johnson I will be very pissed!!

californification...

I'm going to miss this show more than HBO's ENTOURAGE...

David Duchovny is phenomenal in the lead role...

A good friend of mine Diana Terranova was featured in episodes 5 and 6.

Susan Sarandon's daughter Eva Amurri played a student/stripper in several episodes.

CALIFORNIFICATION is my favorite show on television...

toby gerhart got robbed...

He should have won the Heisman, not sophomore Mark Ingram from Alabama. Ingram's stats were nowhere near Gerhart's, not even close...

I'm fucking pissed of!!

turner gill...

Kansas did the right thing by hiring Gill to replace that fat fuck Mark Mangino. Gill was a star quarterback @ Nebraska before becoming the head coach @ Buffalo. His familiarity with the Big 12 bodes well for success in Lawrence...

Cocky Stanford coach Jim Harbaugh was rumored to be the top contender for the job.

a cold wet day in the city...

What am I doing? Having a steaming hot bowl of soup in Chinatown...

a certain head case...

I hadn't been back to the bar @ my club for over two weeks and lo and behold, a person who took off on me @ RN74 about a month ago was sitting @ the bar. Obviously, I sat @ the other end of the bar to avoid her. She was sitting with a couple who frequent the bar on a regular basis. The head case has a tendency to mooch food and drinks off of people...

Anyway, to my surprise the head case tapped me on the shoulder and apologized to me. It actually shocked me... I accepted her apology and moved on. I didn't want to engage in a conversation with her.

For some reason, I went upstairs to the bar @ the Four Seasons to relax and have a glass of wine. I sat @ a table as opposed to the bar. After a few sips of my wine I looked up toward the bar and the head case is @ the bar talking to a couple of unsuspecting men. I can't get away from the head case...

getting back to blogging...

Man, I've taken too much time off from my blog and that isn't a good thing...

I'll strive to be more consistent and write what's on my mind...

I'm just freezing my ass off in the City right now...

toby gerhart...

Went to the Notre Dame- Stanford game on Saturday night to see Gerhart run for 200+ yards, catch a crucial 33 yard pass, and throw a TD pass.

It was an entertaining game with virtually no defense.

I enjoy going to a game @ Stanford Stadium...

And it was Charlie Weiss' last game as head coach of the Irish...

konocti harbor...

I heard the place shut down.

I only went there once in all the years I lived in the Bay Area and it was to see EARTH WIND & FIRE in the 5,000 seat outdoor amphitheater.

It was a great concert and Maurice White was still performing for the group.

Can't say I'm going to miss the venue, but I do have fond memories of Konocti Harbor...

noe valley...

I've lived in the City for many years and I recall going to Noe Valley only three times...

Just got my haircut from Homer/Steffon @ his salon called Episode on Church near 26th.

Currently having dinner @ Hahn's Hibachi on 24th and Castro. I haven't been to a Hahn's in years and it was the Polk St location.

Their BBQ chicken is tasty. The sauce/gravy is the key...

I think I'm going to become more familiar with Noe Valley...

showing class...

After the Eagles beat the Bears on Sunday Night Football, Donovan McNabb took more than a few minutes to give words of encouragement to Bears QB Jay Cutler.

I guess that's one of the reasons I've been a quasi Eagles fan since Donovan has been quarterback... It started when he was booed by Philly fans when he got drafted to being criticized by that idiot Limbaugh(who had no business being on ESPN)for being overrated to having T.O. trash him for his Super Bowl performance for being out of shape to the Eagles drafting Kevin Kolb to replace him. He's always risen above those situations...

The kid hasn't won the Super Bowl, but he's always been a winner...

from 6-0 to 6-4...

I knew from the start that the Denver Broncos were not a good team, especially since they were led by a petulant punk kid from the Bill Belichick coaching tree.

The Broncos have a tough game on Turkey Day against the New York Football Giants and I for one will be pulling for the team that plays its home games in Jersey, although I'm not a fan.

Head coaches weaned by Belichick are a combined 13-18 counting Notre Dame, Cleveland, and Denver. And it's pretty much a done deal that the fat guy coaching the Irish is gone after the season, even if they beat Stanford @ Palo Alto this Saturday.

The guy coaching the Browns may be gone after the season, he's just a divisive prick who didn't deserve another head coaching job after running the Jets into the ground. And he got a fat raise? There is no justice in the world...

Sunday, November 22, 2009

dick enberg...

The long time CBS announcer needs to retires. He's making so many mistakes calling the San Diego-Denver game.

I don't know how many times he mistakes Charger running back Darren Sproles for LT...

He reminds me of Curt Gowdy screwing up Darnell Valentine's name in the Big Dance many, many moons ago... Over and over again...

andre ward...

Oaktown's own is now a World Champion by outpointing Mikkel Kessler @ the Oracle Arena...

A trainer from my club Ron Callo is the strength trainer for Ward.

I couldn't believe how much an underdog Ward was?

The Showtime time announcers/analysts are horrible and I used to respect a few of them and I won't name their names.

I'll name one- Al Bernstein. He's terrible!!

Monta Ellis is ringside.

Kessler is a poor loser.

Didn't see Steffi Graf...

In the Bay Area for his book tour.

I am an Andre Agassi fan...

an extreme head case...

Well, it turns out that I did have a couple glasses of wine with the lady I met on Wednesday night.

We ended up @ a bar/restaurant where I know the bartender very well and she recognized the female I was with from another establishment. Apparently, the person who I was having a glass of wine with is a pain in the ass customer with a reputation...

I'm not going to bore any of my readers of any more details about this extreme head case...

I will say that I haven't had much luck with women of recent note, but it doesn't stop me from pounding away...

Wednesday, November 18, 2009

cock blocking...

Obviously, the prick who sat to the left of the chick who was I was talking to doesn't have a fucking clue... The bar was empty, he could have sat anywhere...

I met a blonde @ a particular bar in the City that I frequent and we were getting along well and this moron cock blocks me...

The asshole doesn't know the man code that you don't interfere with another guy when he's talking to a lady...

I'm so pissed!!!!

open carry law...

I try to write everyday on this blog, but sometimes I just don't have any inspiration and I realize I write a majority of time about sports, therefore I try to temper my desire to write about what I love too much...

Just moments ago, I found something interesting to write about...

I just realized that we in Cali can openly carry a firearm, however it must be unloaded and holstered. Ammunition can't be attached to the gun. "The weapon can be inspected, but there can be no search for the gun's serial number. The open carrier cannot be within 1,000 feet of a school, on the grounds of a college or university, or government buildings or secure areas of airports." KTVU

KTVU "People with drug or violent crime convictions or mental disorders cannot open carry."

LA Times "In cities within the state, publicly displayed guns must not be loaded. In unincorporated areas, loaded guns can be carried openly unless a local ordinance prohibits it."

So basically in a city like San Francisco, I can carry a gun, but I need to keep the bullets in my pocket?

cincinnati bengals...

They signed extreme head case Larry Johnson as an insurance policy in the event Cedric Benson's injury is significant.

I just don't understand why the Bengals have the propensity to hire such head cases like Larry Johnson, Tank Johnson, Chris Henry, etc...

Cincy is well on its way to having a special season and picking up a problem like Larry Johnson just puzzles me...

quince...

On Pacific near Montgomery.

Quite frankly, it's a very uncomfortable place to dine...

Me and a buddy sat @ the bar and had a bottle of wine(a fantastic wine list) and a couple orders of pasta.

The chianti we had was great and the pasta was very good.

I just don't like the service because it's so damn stuffy. There were three men behind the bar wearing suits and ties. Right there, that made me uncomfortable. These guys looked more like bankers than bartenders and bar backs. And they take their job too seriously. They rarely smiled and each of the dudes looked so robotic. I couldn't wait to get the fuck out of there and have a Macallan 12 @ Mr. Bing's...

Monday, November 16, 2009

good riddens stephen jackson...

He's going to have a hell of a time playing for Larry Brown...

Jackson loves Michael Jordan, but MJ hasn't done shit as GM or part-owner or whatever the fuck he was with the Wizards and now the Bobcats. Greatness as a player rarely translates into greatness as a coach or GM. Jerry West was a Hall of Fame player and executive...

The Warriors will never do anything of significance until Chris Cohan sells the team...

And, the Don Nelson 2.0 experience is past its shelf life...

I will watch my projected 30 win Warriors play on television, but I will not take the BART to Oaktown and waste money I can't afford on a shitty team with an overrated coach...

I'm really fucking tired of Don Nelson...

Sunday, November 15, 2009

june jones...

In just his second season, the ex-UH coach has led SMU to 6 wins thus far, which makes the Mustangs bowl-eligible. SMU hasn't been bowl-eligible since 1989.

There's a good chance that SMU will go to Honolulu for the Sheraton Hawaii Bowl.

unfuckingreal...

Michelle Wie finally gets her first LPGA victory...

I can't believe she's no longer a teenager...

I hope she forgets about trying to compete against the men...

I saw her come in 2nd @ a tournament in Hawaii about three years ago...

This kid from USC is a hell of a linebacker! Way better than his teammate the overrated A.J. Hawk...

And he's a rookie on the Green Bay Packers.

Good genes- his Father played 19 years in the NFL and even his Grandfather played in the League...

denver broncos...

With their punk kid coach has lost three games in a row and their loss to the Redskins today by 10 points was pathetic...

I knew Denver were pretenders. I kept saying they're the worst undefeated team in the NFL for more than a few weeks...

The San Diego Chargers are playing the Broncos next weekend in Denver. A must win for the Chargers...

You know who'll I'll be pulling for...

andre ward...

Oaktown's own is fighting WBA Super Middleweight Champion Mikkel Kessler this Saturday as part of the Super Six World Boxing Classic presented on Showtime.

This fight will occur in Ward's backyard- the Oracle Arena in Oakland which will definitely have a pro-Ward crowd.

I hope to be there...

the san francisco giants marketing department...

They are fantastic!

This past Wednesday, Santana opened @ The Joint in the Hard Rock Hotel and I was lucky enough to see the guitar genius...

And tonight, Manny Pacquiao destroyed Miquel Cotto keeping boxing in the limelight...

Both legends were featured with a bobblehead night @ AT&T Park this past season and in Pacman's case two nights had Pacquiao bobbleheads.

How many major league teams sell and promote gear of a musician and a boxer? I'm betting none...

being lucky once in awhile...

Last night, I was lucky enough to have an intelligent young lady who is also beautiful sit next to me on my plane ride home from Las Vegas.

Well, I was going to write that this never happens to me, but I can recall this happening about fives times in my life.

And, lucky me also got dropped off @ my pad in a town car from SFO courtesy of this angel. She is staying @ the Ritz Carlton which is only three blocks from my apartment.

It's good to be lucky once in awhile...

It reminds me of the song "Luck Be A Lady" by Frank Sinatra.

room service...

Convenient, but basically a waste of dough...

Here's my bill from last night:

Buffalo Wings 11.95
Sliders 10.95
Subtotal 22.90
Gratuity 4.12
Service Charge 3.00
Tax 2.10
Total 32.12
Tip 2.00
Total. 34.12

The server was a cute young lady, therefore I gave her $2 extra tip- which already included an 18% gratuity($4.12)plus a $3 service charge.

I basically paid a little over $9 to have food delivered to my room for food that sells for $25 including tax.

No more room service this trip...

It will save you a bunch of time... And you'll get your beverages faster.

larry johnson...

In my mind, there is only one LJ in sports, the one who played for UNLV's 1990 NCAA Championship Basketball team...

The headcase who was just released by the Kansas City Chiefs doesn't do the name justice...

To a lesser degree, this Larry Johnson reminds me of ex-Nebraska running back Lawrence Phillips in his violence towards women.

I'm very happy that the Chiefs didn't allow the Johnson to break Priest Holmes' career rushing record with the club. I find that just desserts for the moron...

sammy sosa...

I was shocked when I saw a recent pic of the ex-Cubs slugger. Obviously, the pic on the right...

He looks like he has has a bunch of pancake makeup on...

Sosa has also taken to wearing green contact lenses...

I'm just going to say, "wow!"

speaking of saying stupid things while drunk...

That dumb fuck David Chang from Momofuku was in town and was involved with some panel discussion @ Cafe Du Nord.

I recently watched a short video from 7X7 covering the event...

Obviously, the moron was drunk, but he didn't have anything to say. Literally, nothing...

I was waiting for him to say something stupid...

saying stupid inappropriate things when you're drunk...

Last night, I went specifically to a popular restaurant/bar to thank a young lady who works as a cocktail server @ said restaurant, but also is a true genius regarding iPhones @ the Genius Bar @ an unspecified Apple Store. She took care of a problem I had with an iPhone...

Anyway, to make a long story short, I probably had one too many single malt scotches and when I said goodnight to the genius, I said something like...

I have decided not to reveal my comment...

Use your imagination...

yelp...

I just read in the Comicle about a dispute between a business owner and a customer who gave her a very negative review...

I no longer yelp because I gave a restaurant a negative review where I personally knew the owner. He asked me to remove the review and I refused and the cry baby had the review removed from the site...

Take it for what it's worth- money talks and the owner advertises on the site, therefore he can manipulate certain reviews...

Therefore, I find yelp a bullshit guide...

andris biedrins...

He loves eating @ North Beach Restaurant after games...

Last season, he brought ex-Warrior, now Raptor Mario Bellinelli to the famous eatery in North Beach quite often...

The 9 Million dollar year man drives a Bentley. He can afford it...

henry bibby...

Ex-NBA player and coach. Father of current NBA player Mike Bibby.

Saw him twice in the Union Square area today. The first time near Macys and the second time walking along Yerba Buena Lane carrying a bunch of bags from Ross...

I believe he's on the Memphis Grizzlies coaching staff...

ny is worried...

Yes, I'm worried about Andy Pettitte pitching on three days rest...

Yes, I'm worried about the defending champs coming back to beat the Yankees...

However, the DH comes back into play @ Yankee Stadium- which means Hideki Matsui with his .556 average in the World Series is back batting full-time, rather than pinch hitting...

However, I'm still worried...

savoring championships...

In 2000, Derek Jeter was only 26 with 4 World Series rings...

I bet he didn't foresee waiting 9 seasons for another title. Yes, the Yanks haven't won just yet, but it's very improbable for the Phillies to comeback from a 3-1 deficit...

Money can buy you championships, but the Yankees have been outspending every team in MLB for years and haven't won shit for nearly this whole decade...

It amazes me that a team that spends so much doesn't even have a legitimate 4th starter on the team. Ex-A Chad Gaudin give me a fucking break!!

Yes, Chien Ming Wang is hurt, but I'm not certain that the former two-time 19 game winner will ever be effective again?

My San Francisco Giants haven't won a title in the over 50 years they've been in the Bay. 2002 was close, but no cigars...

If and when it happens, I will savor this Yankees win...

chutney...

An Indian/Pakistani restaurant located on Jones between O'Farrell and Geary.

It's open until midnight.

I usually have the same thing most of the time the chicken boti with a naan. Although, last night I also ordered lamb curry.

I like how they serve you a free lettuce and tomato salad with lemon with your meal.

And I really enjoy the milk tea that is also provided gratis, although there must be a lot of caffeine in the drink, because I have a hard time getting to sleep when I have a couple cups of the tasty stuff...

It's a comfortable place to dine which makes it a go to place for me...

yankees up 3-1...

I hope Burnett closes out the series tomorrow in Philly, but he's up against Cliff Lee- who's been the best pitcher in the playoffs...

willie brown's column in the comicle...

It's a fucking joke...

His November 1st headline is "Newsom quits race a winner with bright future."

Come on...

I don't read SF Weekly very often, but there was an excellent article about the shitty mayor dated 9/09/09 by Ashley Harrell called "The Wrong Stuff." A very appropriate title...

I was going to volunteer for Jerry Brown's campaign for governor when or if he announces his candidacy because the incompetent mayor of my City was running. Now, I don't feel the need...

Then Brown writes that he walked out of the film COCO BEFORE CHANEL because he doesn't do subtitles. The reason Brown doesn't do subtitles because the dude is blind. He can't see them...

who gives a fuck about david chang...

He's the chef from Momofuku in New York who is quoted in New York Magazine, "Fuckin' every restaurant in San Francisco is just serving figs on a plate. Do something with your food." The piece of shit also said, "I hate fuckin' cupcakes." By the looks of the ugly motherfucker- he's eaten more than his share of cupcakes in his life... He hates them, because he's overdosed on cupcakes. Hell, he looks like a cupcake...

Being Japanese, I don't give a fuck how good Momofuku is because some little prick runs the joint!

He's in the City promoting his book next week. Who gives a fuck!

According to newyork.seriouseats.com he's an overrated psuedo chef and in the article the ugly guy is quoted that he doesn't eat salmon... I've rarely met anyone who doesn't like salmon... And he's a fucking chef...

I'm from Seattle, WA... We love salmon!

going to my 13th sundance film festival in a row...

Quite frankly, I don't know why I still go, because I'm getting too damn old to brave the cold and crowds @ a film festival that has gotten out of hand to a certain degree...

It's become party central with a proliferation of luxury lounges for celebs to get free shit that they don't need, can afford, but still get the stuff gratis...

However, once I arrive @ the SLC airport I feel the energy in the air and I just love it!!

hideki matsui...

Homerun! 2-1 Yankees!

Matsui 3-5 in the World Series thus far with a homerun and a walk.

.667 on base percentage...

don't bring a gun...

That's what the police chief of San Francisco said about people coming into the City for Halloween...

So on non-Halloween days it's okay to carry a gun...

men and toupees...

Do these guys really think they're fooling people?

My dad wears a toupee, therefore I come from a place of experience...

Luckily, I didn't inherit the bald gene...

if the yankees lose tonight...

It's over...

Pedro Martinez against the inconsistent A.J. Burnett.

I just hope they don't put in Phil Hughes to relieve Burnett...

fucking up a classic...

There's going to be a remake of THE KARATE KID with Will Smith's son and Jackie Chan...

Quite frankly, I'm not happy...

I just don't understand why Hollywood keeps doing remakes? Isn't there any original ideas out there?

Most remakes suck!!

tom fitzgerald...

A sportswriter for the Comicle...

Regarding an article where Stanford coach Jim Harbaugh calls his redshirt freshman quarterback Andrew Luck "the best quarterback in the country.

Apparently, a reporter asked specifically if Harbaugh thought Luck was better than Tim Tebow (who FitzGerald wrongly stated as last years Heisman Trophy winner)or Colt McCoy. Tebow won it as a sophomore and last years winner was the now injured Sam Bradford.

I can't believe FitzGerald made such a rookie mistake?

Harbaugh is deluded to think Luck is the best QB in the nation...

Luck is a very good quarterback, but he isn't even the best in the Pac 10... I have to choose my boy from UDub- Jake Locker.

afraud...

Alex Rodriguez is having a phenomenal post season, but the dumb shit should keep his trap shut...

He is recently quoted as saying he hit "rock bottom" this past spring after admitting to using steroids and having hip surgery...

Give me a fucking break! How can someone hit "rock bottom" when they're making 33 million a year? And that's not including endorsements...

I want the Yankees to win, but factoring in the ARoid mental weakness quotient- the Phillies will probably win the World Series for the second year in a row...

myron rolle...

It amazes me that the former Florida State safety who had one year left of eligibility bypassed the 2009 NFL Draft to study @ the University of Oxford for a year as a Rhodes Scholar...

Rolle will participate in the Senior Bowl in January of 2010 to ready himself for the 2010 NFL Draft.

phillies-yankees world series...

One thing that helps is the Yankees have home field advantage due to the American League's win in the 2009 All Star game...

Philly is the defending champions and are well rested- whether that helps or not is questionable...

I really don't care for New York's relief pitching other than the incomparable Mariano Rivera.

I'm pulling for the Yankees, but I won't be surprised if Philadelphia wins...

steve phillips revisited...

According to the New York Post, Steve Phillips is suspected of sleeping with several ESPN employees...

I won't post another pic of Brooke Hundley- everyone knows how hideous she looks...

and another sign you're old...

You go to a wine event and most of the patrons are younger than your niece and nephew...

you know you're old...

When you walk down Market St and see a women you slept with and now she's a senior citizen...

steve phillips...

He was a fucking horrible GM with the Mets and I think he's pretty shitty as a baseball analyst on ESPN...

Now, I have less respect for the guy for fucking a very unattractive and corpulent production assistant while being married. His wife Marni has since filed for divorce.

I've always had a bad feeling about the guy...

Pictured is Phillips with his ex-mistress. Man, he has bad taste...

wanda sykes...

I highly recommend watching Wanda's HBO Comedy Special IM'A BE ME...

I've enjoyed Sykes' work on CURB YOUR ENTHUSIASM...

In her HBO special, she talks about having to come out of the closet the day Obama got elected, the same day Prop 8 was passed in Cali...

too many errors by umpires...

The umpiring in the ALCS has been horrible!!

Calling Swisher out for tagging from third too early was terrible!

Then again, Swisher was out during the a pick off @ second base in the same inning...

howie kendrick...

Angels second baseman who just killed the Yankees yesterday, actually was in the minors this season and it wasn't a rehab assignment.

Kendrick was with the AAA Salt Lake City Bees for 20 games this past season...

The terrible broadcast team of Joe Buck and Tim McCarver wouldn't be astute enough to know this... They're fucking horrible!!

It's kind of interesting that the Angels have a first baseman with the first name of Kendry and a second baseman with a last name of Kendrick...

best uniforms in nfl history...

Without a doubt- the powder blue San Diego Chargers jerseys...

Pictured is "Bambi" aka Lance Alworth...

two bonehead moves by girardi...

One is removing Matsui for a pinch runner in the eight inning. Matsui would have had another @ bat...

Second is removing relief pitcher David Robertson who got the first two outs in the bottom of the 11th for Alfredo Aceves who gave up two hits including the game winner.

Watching Aceves in the the past two games, the guy doesn't have much of an arm. He's a liability...

hideki matsui...

4-8 in the ALCS thus far. 2nd inning in game 3.

I'm going to say this again- the Giants need to sign this guy for the 2010 season...

A two year contracts in the 12 million dollar range...

If his knees hold up, he can play left field, but I'd like to see him play first base...

Sunday, October 18, 2009

caffe roma...

On Columbus between Green and Union...

Great place to hang out and have an espresso and a cannoli...

I'm watching the Dodger-Philly game while listening to some jazz...

And they roast some of the finest beans around...

I do miss the spot of soda that used to accompany the espresso, but that was ages ago...

NY loves SF...

kim ng...

Current Assistant GM of the Dodgers and she formerly was the Assistant GM of the Yankees...

I heard she's up for the San Diego Padre's GM position...

It's time for Kim Ng to be the first female GM in baseball...

She should have gotten the Mariner's GM job last year...

20 year anniversary of the loma prieta earthquake...

I was working @ Nordstrom San Francisco Centre @ the time...

I remember walking coworker named Kathleen Harris to the bus station so she could take a shuttle to to Candlestick to see watch the Bay Bridge World Series- the A's vs the Giants. I had a serious crush on Kathleen...

Anyway, I walked back to work and minutes later the earthquake hit- it went in waves...

Everyone in Nordstrom was stuck in the building for approximately fours hours.

I was living in Mountain View @ the time, but there was a very nice coworker who's name escapes me that drove many of us home that evening.

It was such a nice gesture. I remember how dark the City was except for the fire emanating from the Marina District.

Twenty years go by very quickly...

Friday, October 16, 2009

yusei kikuchi...

An 18 year old left handed pitcher from Japan who may sign with a MLB team.

Apparently, the Giants have scouted him heavily, but I doubt my San Francisco Giants will sign the kid.

The Giants were the first major league team to sign a Japanese player back in the sixties(Masanori Murakami) and have done virtually nothing in signing Japanese players since Hideo Nomo signed with the Dodgers in 1995...

I don't count the offensively challenged Tsuyoshi Shinjo... And relief pitcher Kenichi Yabu...

Kikuchi's fastball has been clocked as high as 96 mph.

I have no hope in this situation...

getting dropped on facebook...

It has happened to me again and it won't be the last time...

It's okay...

The person is a serious head case...

Under the influence of alcohol, I texted her because I found out some information about her from a third party.

Let's put it this way, her alleged second job involves sitting on people's laps...

Quite frankly, the thought was enticing...

She denied it. I could have gotten bum information- but I doubt it...

mike zimmer...

Defensive coordinator of the Cincinnati Bengals who lost his wife on Thursday night and decided to coach the Bengals to victory on Sunday.

His wife of 27 years Vicki Zimmer was only 50 years old.

HBO's Hard Knocks gave me an inside look @ the Bengals and Zimmer- which is simply a fantastic show and I am really rooting for Cincinnati this season. They're a fluke play from being 5-0.

I saw the end of the game against the Ravens and I saw pure joy on Zimmer's face after the victory. It was so touching...

Pictured is Zimmer and his daughter Corri before the Ravens game.

First of all, I'm a Peet's guy...

However, I have tried Blue Bottle on several occasions...

There's a tall geek who worked @ the store near Nordstrom who is such a fucking idiot. He shouldn't be working in front of the public...

hugh...

I won't write his last name to protect the innocent, but he's a great guy who's been working out @ my club since its inception...

I ran into Hugh this past evening @ the St. Regis Bar. Big fucking deal, Willie Brown was sitting about three stools to his left...

Anyway, I want to thank Hugh for buying me a beer- it wasn't necessary, but greatly appreciated...

How many Hughs are around now days? Hardly any...

I can think of Hugh Hefner, Hugh Downs, Hugh Jackman, Hugh Grant, and ex-Husky QB Hugh Millen...

I don't watch HOUSE, but the star is named Hugh Laurie...

Hugh is an uncommon name...

I've become a big fan of the show starring Broadway star Matthew Morrison...

what I enjoy...

Reading the Dallas Morning News the day after a Cowboys loss... Especially reading the comments after articles and blogs...

The Cowboys have passionate fans and I respect them for that.

They realize after Jerry Jones, the problem with the team is the head coach, a very overrated and overpaid offensive coordinator, and an extremely overrated and grossly overpaid quarterback...

That's the problem with the Dallas Cowboys in a nutshell...

And they really do miss Terrell Owens...

hell or high watermelon wheat beer...

stanford football...

I'm far from being a fan, but Stanford should be in the top 25...

#7 is carrying the team...

What puzzles me is that I thought John Elway was #7 when he played for Stanford? They haven't retired his jersey?

the warriors...

Since it's still baseball season and football season is in full force- I really haven't paid much attention to the NBA...

The Warriors won a meanlingless preseason game with the Clippers and oft injured Brandan Wright is out for an extended period once again...

I say who cares? Wright is a bust thus far... With the multi-talented Anthony Randolph- the Warriors don't need the UNC product.

peace of mind...

Ever since I rid myself of certain distractions in my life- I must admit I have a certain degree of peace of mind...

Then again, achieving peace of mind is a never ending process...

ny guarantees...

That the Patriots will beat the worst 4-0 team in the NFL the Denver Broncos coached by another punk kid... with a defensive coordinator who was the lousiest head coach in the League outside of punk kid kiffin...

Again, I guarantee New England will beat Denver in the mile high city next Sunday...

great win by the bengals...

In overtime over the hapless Browns coached by head case Eric Mangini. For some reason, I pull for the Bengals, it's probably because of HARD KNOCKS on HBO this past summer...

Ocho Cinco and Carson Palmer really entertained me during the series...

I've been a Marvin Lewis fan since he was the defensive coordinator of the Baltimore Ravens when they won the Super Bowl with a subpar quarterback...

harbaugh brothers...

Jim the head coach of Stanford and John the head coach of the Baltimore Ravens.

They've only lost one game a piece thus far this season.

We'll see how the rest of the season plays out for both of them...

I don't think Baltimore is as good as their 3-1 record indicates. But Stanford could have a special season if #7 keeps running the way he's been running and their defense holds up...

jim mora jr...

He's a shitty coach...

The Seahawks are a terrible team...

I don't care if Matt Hasselbeck is injured- they're still a crappy team with an overrated coach...

breast cancer awareness month...

I like how some NFL players are wearing pink shoes, gloves, wristbands, etc... to give support to breast cancer awareness month.

Refs are wearing pink wristbands. Coaches have caps with pink bills.

Certain areas of the field are adorned in pink.

However, I'll be inside watching football all day...

Saturday, October 3, 2009

it's been a bad day for me in college football...

I wanted UCLA to beat Stanford- that didn't happen...

My Huskies lost in overtime to Notre Dame. The Irish had three goal line stands against UDub... You can't win a game with missed opportunities like that...

CAL is getting beat by USC and there is no way they're coming back. CAL has gotten progressively worse...

Since I hate punk kid kiffin so much, my day will end on a positive note when Auburn closes out and beats Tennessee...

And for my friend Leilani, I'm happy Miami, the U beat Oklahoma without Sam Bradford...

Friday, October 2, 2009

kathleen turner...

It's hard to believe that she was so hot in BODY HEAT back in 1981 co-starring William Hurt...

She's not much older than me, but she looks absolutely horrible nowadays...

I'm watching CALIFORNICATION on Showtime where she has a featured role this season.

waiting for the underground...

To go to Caltrain- it's fucking frustrating because the majority of the trains stop @ Embarcadero... Meaning one has to wait a long fucking time to catch the appropriate train.

Taking the 30 Stockton or 45 Union buses is much faster and less stressful...

And the T is not the most fun train to catch...

tempura...

Good tempura is hard to find and it's crucial to eat tempura immediately after it's served... It should be eaten moments after it's cooked...

That's why some Japanese joints have tempura bars...

unfuckingbelievable...

25 minutes ago I saw some Chinese cat using a pager...

I didn't know they still made them?

The plans must be about $2 a month...

boche and sabean re-signed for next season...

I strongly believe it's a bad move by Giants management...

Sure, Boche got the Padres in the World Series, but that will be his pinnacle of success as a manager. He's simply a mediocre game manager and too fucking conservative- that's why the Giants had a hard time scoring runners in scoring position with less than two outs...

And Sabean made some very bonehead maneuvers by signing Aaron Rowand to a ridiculous contract, along with Edgar Renteria... And of course, the extremely overpaid Barry Zito...

Trading top pitching prospects for Garko and Sanchez have not panned out, especially that Garko who is a bum...

I'm very disappointed today...

my san francisco giants...

Before the season, I predicted 80 wins. We have 86 wins with 3 games left in San Diego...

Getting eliminated from the wildcard was a big disappointment, but I must admit this team was my favorite Giants club in years...

It starts with Panda aka Pablo Sandoval. I saw him play for the high single A San Jose Giants, therefore I had an affection for the kid from the beginning... He was catching back then and I knew he would make the big show. That's why I was a bit surprised that the Giants drafted Buster Posey in the first round in 2008- little did I know that Sandoval could also play third and first...

Travis Ishikawa is another reason I loved this Giants team so much. I saw Travis play in San Jose and I thought this kid wasn't going to make it after being demoted from AA. Then I saw him play last season in Fresno and his game improved many levels. This season, Ishikawa has shown he's a great defensive first baseman, but his bat is suspect. I hate to say this, but the Giants need a big bopper @ first base- someone with power...

Juan Uribe was a great pickup! A utility player who can play every position in the infield. And he's become a professional hitter... His arm is outstanding!

San Francisco could end up with 89 wins. That would be a great accomplishment!

I'm already looking forward to next season...

I'll address the pitching staff, Boche, and Sabean in a future post...

stanford 24 washington 14

The halftime score.

Game played in Palo Alto.

My Huskies have a terrible defense...

The UDub kicker gets terrible distance on his kickoffs giving Stanford good field position.

Unless the defensive coordinator makes adjustments @ halftime- I foresee a Washington loss...

viognier...

I'm partaking in a bottle of Rosenblum Cellars 2008 Viognier- Kathy's Cuvee...

To me, it's barely quaffable...

Then again, the more I drink of it, the better it tastes...

vernon davis...

Two touchdown passes in the game. Wow!

And, he's a hell of a blocker.

Once a head case case, always a head case, but this head case is making progress..

percy harvin...

Speed kills. A 100 yard kickoff return turns the game around...

I had the feeling the Florida kid would do something big in this game against the Niners.

For Minnesota of course...

inspiration...

I have a friend who lives in SoCal and she doesn't drink alcohol and has never tasted alcohol in her life. I won't ever quit drinking because I love it so much, but she has inspired me to cut down on my alcohol intake...

I made a new friend last week and she's in terrific shape. She has inspired me to get in better shape. Whether that's gonna happen is another story...

A friend of mine texted me from Maui yesterday and mentioned how CAL lost to Oregon. And how his Bruins have a real chance against the Ducks in the Rose Bowl. I was about to bag the UW- Stanford game in Palo Alto, but his text inspired me to go, although my Huskies got annihilated by Stanford...

Inspiration is a good thing...

south carolina over ole miss...

The win by Steve Spurrier's team last night puts CAL in the position to move up in the polls from #6 to @ least #5 in the nation.

The Bears have a tough game against Oregon this Saturday in Eugene...

Go Bears!

a couple tidbits about the giants game against the cubs last night...

Brad Penny was @ 95 pitches. A big bruiser like that could go into the 110 pitch count range easy... Why did Boche replace him with that head case Brian Wilson?

Wilson has blown seven saves this season. I saw the moron on Chesnut Street during the afternoon and I could tell he's an extreme head case...

Mariano Rivera has blown seven saves in three seasons...

Okay, it's unfair to compare Wilson to Rivera...

The Giants season is over...

mark reynolds...

The third baseman for the Arizona D-Backs has 43 home runs and 100 RBI with 10 games left in the season.

He's becoming a star in the league. Although, he's getting known for one thing- he strikes out way too much...

Reynolds has broken the 200 strikeout mark for two seasons in a row. He broke the all-time record last year with 204 and this year, he's @ 206, breaking his previous record.

In the past, players would sit out games, so they wouldn't break the record. This Reynolds kid doesn't seem to care.

My prediction is that Mark Reynolds after this season will cut down on his strikeouts and his record, whatever that will be? Perhaps about 215... And the strikeout record won't be broken again in my lifetime...

derek jeter...

The guy is only 35 years old and he has 2735 career hits. He should get his 3000th hit early in the 2011 season before his 37th birthday on June 26.

Jeter had four World Series rings by 26.

Perhaps this is the Yankee's year, we'll see... They've been shut out since 2001.

And ARod is still on the team- which hinders any teams ability to win it all...

Jeter's career batting average is .317.

If Derek Jeter retires after this season, he'd still be a first ballot Hall of Famer...

I sometimes forget how great of a player Derek Jeter is...

I mean a baseball player, obviously he's a player with the women...

punk kid kiffin...

It amazes me that this idiot who has 6-17 head coaching record can talk so much trash?

The petulant punk was 5-15 with the Raiders and is 1-2 with Tennessee.

That's a shitty record.

The moron should shut his trap until he's proven something, which I highly doubt will happen...

He's sure not making any friends in the SEC...

Tennessee is playing a cupcake- Ohio @ home this weekend. I'm hoping for an upset by the Ohio Bobcats...

plaxico burress...

He's definitely one of the biggest head cases around, but did he deserve a 2 year prison term for weapons charges and reckless endangerment? I don't think so...

Plaxico shot himself accidentally in a Manhattan nightclub. He didn't shoot someone else.

Why do these athletes feel the need to carry a concealed weapon? If they're so paranoid, just hire a bodyguard or two. They can afford it...

Burress hurt himself and his family.

To me, a year in the joint would have taught Plaxico a lesson.

Now, with good behavior he'll be out in 20 months. And he hopes to resume his NFL career. The guy is 32. We'll see...

my washington huskies...

Nothing made me happier than to see UDub beat USC on Saturday. Nothing...

I wasn't a believer in the young ex-USC offensive coordinator Sarkisian, but now I must give him props.

Steve Sarkisian was a good quarterback @ BYU and he apprenticed under one of the best college OCs of all-time Norm Chow.

Sarkisian doesn't seem as brash as that punk kid kiffin...

Anyway, my Dawgs are ranked in the top 25 for the first time in six seasons.

Do I believe my Huskies deserve the ranking, not really... I'm a realist.

But I will enjoy the moment...

Pictured is QB Jake Locker hugging his Father after the game. That photo is worth a thousand words...

angel villalona...

On Saturday night, I saw the San Jose Giants win the California League Championship. The San Jose Giants are the high class A affiliate of the San Francisco Giants. Earlier in San Jose's season, I had the great opportunity to see Madison Bumgarner pitch and Buster Posey catch. Both kids are on the September roster of the San Francisco Giants.

I also saw Villalona play during that early season game and I saw much potential from the kid who is only 19 years old and who the Giants signed when he was 16 for $2.1 million. His chunky body was a concern with me, but look @ Pablo Sandoval. He's quick and agile for a fatty... Unfortunately, Angel got hurt during the year which put him out for the season.

Now, I hear that Villalona is in a Domincan Republic jail suspected of killing someone in a bar. I find that very sad...

salsa all'arrabbiata...

Very good spicy tomato sauce from A.G. Ferrari...

Organic and a product of Italy.

What I like about the sauce that no sugar is added.

Very simple ingredients- tomatoes, olives, extra virgin olive oil, onions, carrots, celery, basil, salt, garlic, and chili pepper.

standing out...

I live in San Francisco, but when I visit my sis in San Jose, I try to frequent the Los Gatos Coffee Roasting Company as much as possible...

The cute young blonde that works behind the counter noticed that I usually come in the afternoon- which is somewhat true. Yesterday, I was @ LGCRC @ 9am as opposed to 6am. The day before in the afternoon.

I stand out...

patrick swayze...

He passed away today @ 57...

God rest his soul...

He was in some excellent films like GHOST and DIRTY DANCING...

I saw him in person walking on Main Street in Park City during a Sundance Film Festival.

I knew his death was imminent, but it's still sad...

I forgot to mention how much I enjoyed POINT BREAK...

thank god...

I can now watch Monday Night Football...

That fucking idiot Tony Kornheiser is no longer on the telecast...

Jon Gruden should be okay as an analyst, but he's one and down like a top freshman in college basketball...

Gruden will be back coaching in the league in 2010...

hideki matsui...

With his bad knees, he's expressed a desire to play first base next season...

He'll be a free agent.

The Giants should sign Hideki to play first base next season.

In basically part-time duty this year, Matsui has hit 24 home runs and 81 RBI in 404 AB... Panda has 3 less dingers and 4 less RBI in almost more 100 AB...

I'm going to say this again, Matsui wanted to play for the San Francisco Giants after playing for the Yomiuri(Tokyo)Giants in Japan, but the Giants failed to pursue him...

I blame Brian Sabean for not pursuing front line Japanese players. San Francisco is a perfect market for Japanese players.

And unless Sabean is fired after this season, there's probably no chance in hell Hideki Matsui will be in a San Francisco Giants uni next season...

The ex-stripper is an overrated writer in my view...

She writes a column for Entertainment Weekly in which she tries too hard...

I find it unreadable...

But I found JUNO entertaining...

chris pressley...

The fullback out of Wisconsin who made the practice squad with the Bengals... Who had a feature role on HBO's HARD KNOCKS with the Cincinnati Bengals.

Seeing his mother cry before the last exhibition game against the Colts really touched my heart...

I want to see the kid make it...

The kid seems like a hell of blocker and a hard worker...

saturday night in the city...

Instead of blowing my wad @ the St. Regis Bar, I opted to go across the street to Peet's to partake in a delicious choclate chip cookie and an americano...

my huskies finally won after losing 15 in a row...

Big fucking deal, we beat the hapless Idaho Vandals...

thank god for ucla...

For beating Tennessee led by that petulant punk kid Kiffin...

Interesting name..

I enjoy sitting outside noshing on a breakfast bagel with coffee and apple juice while working on my iPhone...

It's fucking hot in the City this morning...

Welcome Indian Summer...

public toilets...

Almost a week after leaving the Tampa area- it still astounds me I didn't see one toilet seat cover...

And I'm not very comfortable in public facilities- I'm worried someone might pull a Larry Craig...

I'm @ the Giants game and I almost left the game to use the lockerroom @ my club...

on the 47 bus...

You can encounter strange characters...

This one cat had a bag full of whips, chains, and rope bought @ some S&M store in the City...

He was telling his friends that he saved over a hundred dollars by purchasing the products in person, as opposed to mail ordering them...

Only in my City...

shawne merriman...

This guy is a fucking head case!

I've chronicled this idiot before and this guy just can't stay out of trouble...

First of all, why was he dating a media whore with no talent like Tila Tequila who's real last name is Nguyen?

Merriman is charged with battery and false imprisonment. Tequila alleges that moron Merriman chocked and physically restrained her from leaving his pad. Nguyen was hospitalized after the incident...

To all the guys out there- when a woman wants to leave your pad- let her leave...

I really hope Roger Goodell suspends this troublemaker...

I realize the idiot wasn't formerly charged with a crime, but this guy just has a history of being an asshole...

The above pic is of Nguyen when she was Playboys August Cyber Girl of the Month in 2002...

It was a great Saturday night in Berkeley after the Bears just killed Maryland 52-13. Two of the biggest head cases in the league went to Maryland- Merriman and Vernon Davis...

fentons creamery and restaurant...

Went to the popular joint last night after watching CAL clobber Maryland @ Memorial Stadium in Berkeley.

Didn't partake in any ice cream, but instead went for a french dip sandwich which was quite tasty... Instead of garnishing the sandwich with sliced sweet pickles, I'd rather see carrots and celery. But, that ain't gonna happen. Potato chips come with the french dip. You can pay extra for fries. I'm a french dip connoisseur, therefore I'm commenting extensively about the product... The sandwich is meaty with a tasty au jus, but this morning my mouth was very dry, meaning a good amount of MSG was used in the juice...

Driving by the Fentons, the place always looks busy, but they seem to get customers in and out quickly, therefore we didn't even wait for a table, although it appeared we'd have a substantial wait.

Many people get ice cream to go, making it appear there are tons of people waiting to get seated.

deep fried butter...

What the fuck? I've heard of deep fried bacon, deep fried pickles, deep fried snickers, deep fried twinkies, deep fried oreos, deep fried Krispy Kreme donut chicken sandwiches, etc...

Featured @ the State Fair of Texas...

I can't believe it...

reno...

I know it's labor day weekend, but all the major casinos are sold out this weekend...

I bet I can get a room in Vegas without any problem...

The second place I tried booking in Las Vegas had rooms.

I wanted to see the AAA Reno Aces play in their new stadium. They're the top farm team of the Arizona D-Backs.

Forget Reno...

My friends nearly 18 month old daughter @ International Plaza in Tampa.

I love this picture. She's a future Rays fan...

carrie whyte...

How many times in this world do you meet someone that has basically the same name as a movie character? I'm talking about the Brian DePalma film CARRIE starring Sissy Spacek and her characters name is Carrie White. Whyte, White, same pronunciation, just a slight variance in spelling.

Anyway, I met the beautiful Carrie Whyte @ Ocean Prime in Tampa/International Plaza on Monday night.

She's one of the stunning ladies in the above pic...

wifi on american airlines...

I bought wifi from my flight from Dallas to San Francisco. I tell you, it sure makes the flight go faster...

It's too pricey @ $14.

Then again, it's better than paying $20 for one piece of luggage.

I didn't power up the battery to my MacBook to its capacity, therefore I'm just about out of juice while writing this post in flight...

ocean prime in tampa...

Beautiful restaurant located in International Plaza.

Great service and a very nice selection of single malts...

Even on a Monday night there were beautiful women in the bar...

asians in florida as opposed to texas...

I saw zero Asians @ the Miami airport.

In my four nights in Tampa - I didn't see more than ten Asians.

Already in the Dallas airport I've seen more Asians in 30 minutes, than in all ofl my stay in Florida...

the penthouse club in tampa bay...

The dancers wear pasties over their nipples...

Weak, weak, weak!!!

Tampa doesn't have free wifi @ the airport.

tampa yankees...

Yesterday, I specifically went to the Tampa to purchase an official Tampa Yankee cap @ George Steinbrenner Field and there wasn't any close to my size. I have a huge noggin...

I ended up buying a NY Yankees cap that was marked down from $41 to $18 that has a patch that signifies the inaugural season @ the new Yankee Stadium.

The shop @ the stadium doesn't have hardly any Tampa Yankees gear, it's dominated by New York Yankees shit.

Tampa is the spring training home of the New York Yankees and there is probably more Yankee fans in the area as opposed to Tampa Bay Rays' fans...

five guys...

A burger chain that is very good.

I went to a store in Tampa on Sunday.

Their fresh cut fries are fantastic! But beware when you buy the cajun version, the fries can be pretty spicy. And don't order a large portion- it's too fucking big...

A regular burger comes with two patties and can be garnished with mushrooms, green pepper, jalapeno peppers, and A1 sauce among their choices...

And while waiting for your order, you can nosh on peanuts.
