marina safeway to fort point...

The long closed Advantage Fitness(across from the Marina Safeway)which now houses a 24 Hour Fitness was my club from 1992-1994.

As I sit across the street from the Safeway overlooking Fort Mason Center, I can't believe I used to run the 6 miles total from this point to Fort Point which is underneath the bridge and back 2-3 times a week. Sometimes I think it wasn't me...

I'm probably going to walk it today, but I'm definitely going to take my time and enjoy the beautiful scenery...

HP made a big deal about their product being featured in SATC 2. In San Francisco, I witnessed a huge display in the atrium in San Francisco Centre with those Vivienne Tam notebooks displayed with Manolo Blahniks promoting SEX AND THE CITY 2.

I made a concerted effort see whether the Carrie Bradshaw character switched from a Mac to a Hewlett Packard product and much to my surprise and delight she was using an older MacBook Pro.

I believe one of those Tambooks(I made up that name) was on a table in the 22K a night suite in Morocco(Mandarin Oriental Jhan Rahma Marrakech) standing in for Abu Dhabi for a few seconds and supposedly it's Samantha's. And the one in the film was the red themed version.

Well, I read reports months ago that he was dying of prostate cancer. Today, he is no longer with us...

Hopper was 74. He was well known for writing, directing and starring in the classic film EASY RIDER(1969).

I most remember him for his role in BLUE VELVET(1986) where he sniffs gas. Two other 80's films which I enjoyed Hopper in are HOOSIERS(1986)nominated for an Academy Award-Best Supporting Actor and BLACK WIDOW(1987).

Dennis Hopper left us too soon...

It's sad that the second of the three sitcom kids in DIFF'RENT STROKES has passed. Dana Plato died about eleven years ago.

Coleman was only 42 years old.

When I saw reports of Coleman falling ill the other day, I just had a feeling it was time...

He had some difficulties in life the past several years.

First of all, I miss eating the butterfish misoyaki @ the closed store in Honolulu Waikiki. It was a wonderful space.

The one in the City has an excellent happy hour from 5-7 where Sapporo Drafts are $3 and there is free pupus like fresh tofu, tossed salad with chicken, and edamame.

I love it, but I recommend buying the 32G or 64G model. The more flash drive, the better...

It takes me nearly 3 hours to go from my sister's home in the Almaden area of San Jose to my apartment on Nob Hill...

It goes like this- about a twenty-twenty five minute car ride from her house to the Caltrain station near downtown San Jose. The train from San Jose to San Francisco about one hour and forty minutes. The street car from the train station to the California Street cable car 15 minutes. Cable car about 15 minutes. About 30 minutes total waiting for the train, street car, and cable car...

I can fly to Vegas, check into my hotel, and start playing poker faster...

angel island wine fest...

It was a beautiful day on the Bay...

The fest was on Saturday. Had to take two ferries to get there since I missed the ferry directly from San Francisco to Angel Island. I took a ferry to Tiburon and then another ferry from Tiburon to Angel Island. Well, in the end it was worth it, but I got a bit sunburned in the shoulders...

I must visit Angel Island more often. It's a wonderful island... I don't think I've been there for several years...
