The branch of dentistry concerned with structures surrounding and supporting the teeth. Dental implants are part of this specialty. My nephew is a DMD(Doctor of Dental Medicine) from Tufts University in Boston. Currently, he's attending Columbia University to obtain his post doctoral M.S. Degree and Certificate in Periodontics.
