I'm proud to say I never voted for the idiot for mayor of San Francisco or Lt. Governor of Cali. It's obvious that Current TV is hardup by giving the guy his own show. The punk was quoted on his show that he's up in Sacramento only one day a week tops as Lt. Governor and there's no reason to be there, since Sac is so dull. The moron is making about $170 a year as LG. Or he's making $130K. Still much too much for a guy who thinks he'll be the next governor of California and has aspirations for President. The asshole is a fucking joke!! I think of Sarah Palin when I think of Gavin Newsom...
I live in San Francisco and just last weekend I was in Sacramento to watch a minor league baseball game at Raley Field- which is a fantastic venue for baseball which has a terrific view of the Tower Bridge. The Sacramento River Cats the AAA affiliate of the Oakland A's play there and Manny Ramirez was doing his minor league rehab there.
I find Sacramento to be a interesting place to visit. There a more than a few nice museums to visit in Sacto- Crocker Art Museum and the California Museum to name two.

god bless america the movie...
Written and directed by Bobcat Goldthwait- starring Bill Murray's brother Joel Murray and a young actress named Tara Lynne Barr who I believe is going to be a star.
Crazy film which I just happened upon. I believe it's already available via pay-per-view. It's an indie that only lasts in the theaters for about a week.

i'll have another...
Wow! What a race! I'll Have Another winning the Preakness for the 2nd crown of the Triple Crown. I didn't even watch the Kentucky Derby, now I'm definitely going to watch the Belmont in three weeks. The last Triple Crown Winner- Affirmed in 1978. The greatest horse of all-time: Secretariat.

commercials before watching a film...
At the cinema. Man! I pay good money for viewing a movie at the theater and I'm still subjected to commercials. What the fuck!

vidal sassoon...
Just passed away at 84. Vidal was a pioneer in hair care. I remember buying Sassoon hair products over 30 years ago. My current hair stylist has a few certificates from Vidal Sassoon schools. Recently, I saw a doc about Vidal Sassoon. An icon has left this world...

john travolta...
The bottom line I don't care whether he's gay or not. And I'm fairly certain he's gay. About 30 years ago, I saw Travolta at a bookstore in Carmel hugging and kissing a young guy(probably in his early twenties). Travolta was about 28 at the time. Me and my parents ate a restaurant in the Carmel Plaza where the defunct bookstore was. I mentioned to our female server that I saw Travolta with the guy and she said it was pretty common knowledge around the area that he was gay. And she made my day by saying I was better looking than JT back then. That was a long time ago and my looks have faded...
Anyway, reading about the two lawsuits filed against Travolta, I can't help to laugh reading one accuser describing Travolta's genitalia roughly "8 inches in length" with pubic hair that was "wirey and unkempt."

There have been so may rumors about Travolta throughout the years and we'll see if he goes through the lastest unscathed...

vegemite...
Tried it for the first time last Wednesday. I liked it. Had it over ak-mak(the Original Armenian Cracker Bread). Now, I'm going to buy some and keep it in the fridge. There's a store called Australian Fair in the City that sells Vegemite and apparently they sell a bunch of it...
Australian Fair also sells Blundstone boots which are also Australian like Vegemite that I'm going to buy before Sundance 2013...

kathleen turner...
She was fantastic in BODY HEAT(1981). She's a great actress- I like her recent stint in CALIFORNICATION. However, she hasn't aged well. A few years ago, I saw her at the Ferry Building in San Francisco and she looks better in person than on screen.
ugly guy of the day...
Perhaps, he's better looking in person?
beau bridges...
Just saw an interview with him on Talk Stoop with Cat Greenleaf. Very interesting and humble guy who looks great for 70. He's lost some weight. He's making a career renaissance. He's the older bro of Academy Award Winner Jeff Bridges and son of the great Lloyd Bridges.
baron davis...
I'm not a big fan of Baron, but having my football career ended by knee surgery back in 1976, I feel for Davis. Whether Baron wants to comeback from knee surgery at 33 going into 34 next season is another thing. One thing Baron has is a career after basketball- he's a movie producer and has had a film at Sundance about 4 years ago.
No matter what, whether I like a player or not, I never want to see him get hurt and especially not a knee. I've lived with knee pain for nearly 36 years...

junior seau...
His suicide shocked me to say the least. Seau was a great linebacker, although I thought he over penetrated too much, but that was his style of play- similar to fellow Samoan and USC player Troy Polamalu.
I heard a story about Seau during a certain Pro Bowl when he paid a hotel employee to drive to Zippy's to buy some plate lunches and chili for a bunch a people. He genuinely seemed like a nice guy.
I hope his family donates his brain for research to study whether the effects of playing in the NFL for 20 years caused damage which contributed to Seau taking his life.
