single malt whiskey review...

St. George single malt whiskey distilled from barley malt mash. 43% alcohol by volume. The color is quite light, a little darker than a white wine. The nose is sweet, perhaps a hint of citrus. The finish has cinnamon characteristics. I believe this batch is eight years old... This Alameda based distillery produces some great spirits. A half bottle is pricey for $30, especially when I can get a full bottle of Balvenie Doublewood for about $10 more...
