I was lucky enough to see him play live for CAL. I knew he'd be an NFL quarterback, but never in my wildest dreams did I think he'd be the premier signal caller in the league with a healthy and effective Tom Brady still playing. Since Peyton Manning is pretty much out for the 2011 season, his name can't be put in the equation.
Rodgers has done well to rid himself of the mechanical release that CAL coach Jeff Tedford teaches his quarterbacks. He's now more of a gunslinger like Favre without the high interception rate.
I just noticed a State Farm commercial where they mock his touchdown celebration. It's where Rodgers puts on an invisible championship belt. It's a pretty funny ad.
Alex Smith has done well under first year head coach Jim Harbaugh's tutelage, but he's no Aaron Rodgers and Niners will forever regret picking Smith over Rodgers in the 2005 NFL Draft.
Super Bowl victories- Rodgers 1 and Favre 1. Favre a certain Hall of Famer. Rodgers?
