Anyway, to get to the point, old Julio is retiring from baseball. I'm a bit saddened by this, because I wanted him to play until 50. Franco had nearly 2600 hits in his MLB career. There was a four year span when he played in Japan, Korea, and Mexico. I believe he could have attained the 3000 hit mark with those lost years.
