zippy's fried chicken...

I'm into food, probably too much, but what the hell?

Zippy's in Hawaii is well known for their chili. I like their chili, but when I grind @ Zippy's, I have their fried chicken. It's fucking phenomenal!

One thing I do when I order a plate lunch @ Zippy's is that I opt for a tossed salad as opposed to the mac salad which is a staple on plate lunches. I eat enough fat laden food in HNL, therefore I try to cut out mac salad when I can...

Last night, I even opted for a fried chicken mini plate. You get two pieces of chicken versus three on the regular plate, with one scoop of rice as opposed to two scoops, and basically the same amount of salad- which is a good thing...

When I visit Honolulu, I must visit the Zippy's on King St near McCully and nosh on some tasty fried chicken...

After the great selection of Texas Tech wideout Michael Crabtree, the Niners didn't have a pick until Day 2 of the NFL Draft and thus far, they seem to have done well. In Round 3 getting a running back to complement Frank Gore- Glen Coffee from Alabama.

In round 5 linebacker Scott McKillop from Pitt and what I think which could be a sleeper pick- Quarterback Nate Davis from Ball State.

I opted for the grilled chicken today with cabbage and steamed rice. I thought I ordered the gravy that comes with the roast pork, but I ended up getting kind of a sweet teriyaki type of sauce...

I went to UDub, but Seattle U was one of my teams in mens basketball. I was saddened when they quit being a D1 school many years ago. The tradition started with Elgin Baylor through Clint Richardson.

I am so happy that Seattle U who used to be called the Chieftains, now they are called the Redhawks are competing in Division One basketball.

I am a Duke hater and I never liked Greg Paulus, but I'd like to see him play football since he was one of the top quarterbacks in the nation during his high school career.

I've read he's had a workout with the Green Bay Packers and the lowly Duke football program offered him a tryout for a wide receiver position, but I think his best bet to use his one year of eligibility in football and attempt to play quarterback @ Michigan.

He's not an ideal sized quarterback @ 6'1, but there are a bunch of 6'1 and under quarterbacks in the NFL- Dree Brees and Jeff Garcia to name two.

As his high school football coach has been quoted, Paulus needs to put on some weight to play football. I've heard he's been in the gym and I'm pretty sure he's weighing more than the 180 which was his basketball playing weight @ Duke.

NFL All Pro tight ends Tony Gonzalez and Antonio Gates played only basketball in college. It would be interesting to see how good of a football player Paulus really is and for once I'll be rooting for a Dukie...

It's obvious the trade with Detroit that gave the Lions a 1st, 3rd, and 6th rounder in the 2009 NFL Draft which is happening on the 25th and 26th of this month for WR Roy Williams is thus far a bust, but does the conservative Aikman need to state the obvious on a promotional appearance for Wing Stop?

Aikman should shut his fucking trap! Troy boy blamed Williams for running lousy routes in the regular season finale against the Eagles. Aikman should blame Romo for being a choker... But, there must be some kind of unwritten law that ex-Cowboy QBs can't criticize current Dallas quarterbacks.

Remember this name- this kid is going to be a star for the Giants.

I saw Bumgarner pitch in San Jose last night and he is the best minor league pitcher I've seen in my life. BTW, he currently pitches for the high class A San Jose Giants who play in the California League.

He throws in the 93-94 mph range and what is impressive is his control for a 19 year old. Actually, his control is great for any pitcher whether 19 or 29 or 39... Bumgarner is less than two years removed from high school and I foresee him being in the San Francisco Giants rotation next season.

Madison could have that meteoric rise like Tim Lincecum and perhaps be on the SF Giants roster by September...

Excellent outing by hard luck Matt Cain... We left the game in the 8th inning missing the horrific line drive by Mike Cameron that hit rookie reliever Joe Martinez in the head in the 9th inning.

I like Rich Aurilia, but he really should not be on team. I was disappointed that Richie started over Travis Ishikawa on Thursday afternoon. Aurilia grounded into two double plays and left six runners on base.

I had heard that former Giant Tyler Walker was cut by the Mariners only to find out that he was picked up by the Phillies organization. I'm happy he's no longer a San Francisco problem. Walker was always a disaster waiting to happen...

I am not impressed by Aaron Rowand's hot start. He started off hot last season and ended up @ around .270 with not much power and fair @ best defense in center field.

I do not predict success for the petulant kid. Fat Charlie Weiss hasn't done very well with Notre Dame.
