derek fisher...

We all know the plight of his daughter and I feel for him. However, I'm not really happy what transpired last summer when the Jazz released him from his contract and he subsequently signs with the Lakers. Yes, it was for less money, but it would have made more sense for Fisher to sign with the Knicks or the Nets, close to where eye specialist Dr. David Abramson practices @ Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in Manhattan. Every other month Abramson treats Fisher's daughter- that's still a cross country flight six times a year. She gets treated in LA every month by a colleague of Abramson. SLC to LAX isn't a long flight. I can understand why Jazz fans aren't too happy with Fisher. The Lakers reacquired their third leading scorer from their three championship seasons and Utah lost depth in the backcourt which really hurt them in the playoffs. Jazz owner Larry Miller showed compassion, but he received nothing in return. I'm going to give props to DFish for helping parents around the world become aware of retinoblastoma, but I'm still not happy with the ex-Warrior...
