He passed away today @ 86. Jim McKay was the Wide World of Sports on ABC. His coverage of the Munich Olympics will be forever etched in my memory. His classic statement was. "they're all gone." A part of my youth is now gone...
It's somewhat fitting that the great McKay died on the day where millions of horse racing fans around the country are pulling for Big Brown to win the first Triple Crown since 1978. Jim McKay was a big horse racing fan.
