gwen knapp is an idiot...

I've never respected her as a sports writer and up until today, I hadn't read one of her columns in @ least three years. She doesn't know jack shit about sports. Knapp is a sports columnist for the San Francisco Chronicle.

Her column calling Tiger Woods an idiot was one of the worst examples of sports writing I've ever read in my life! Knapp wrote that Woods was an idiot for playing/winning the US Open severely injured...

We all know that Woods will miss the rest of the golf season because of injuries to his knee and tibia. Getting quotes from Jerry Rice was idiotic. The guy played football. You can't compare the rigors of the brutal sport of football compared to golf. Rice is the greatest NFL receiver of all-time, but he has never come across as an intelligent person. A hard worker yes, but someone who isn't articulate...

I'm sure Tiger would rather have that 14th major knowing he may jeopardize the rest of his season and missing the PGA and the British Open. Even he never wins another major, which is highly unlikely, he'll go down as one of the best golfers of all-time.

I hurt my knee playing football many, many moons ago and I now suffer from arthritis in both knees. Only people with bad knees can understand what Woods was going through. That South African Goosen questioning the severity of Woods' pain and pain threshold is idiotic. Then again, South Africa is such a fucked up country that they have to label chinese black. No pain is fun, but knee pain can go to another dimension...

Gwen Knapp like Janny Hu are just horrible, horrible sports writers and have no business writing for a so-called major newspaper. Then again, who really respects the Chron in this day and age. The name Comicle is appropriate...
