tim donaghy...

I'm going to start off this post by saying it's time for David Stern to step down as commissioner of the NBA. He's living in a fantasy world. Donaghy was a crooked ref, but he wasn't the only one...

Officiating in the Association has always been horrible. Really, you could call traveling and a foul in every possession.

Sacramento was reamed by the refs in that 2002 series against LA. Only time has lessened the impact. Jeff Van Gundy was fined 100K complaining about a conspiracy about calling moving screens on Yao Ming in a 2005 playoff series.

This wasn't mentioned in Donaghy's lawyer's letter, but everybody knows that Phoenix was screwed last year against San Antonio and I believe Donaghy worked in that series...

The NBA is dirty, just like MLB, and the NFL...

One more note: Bob Delaney who officiated game 6 in the above mentioned 2002 Kings-Lakers series and according to Ailene Voisin of the Sacramento Bee was especially horrible, used to live a couple miles away from Donaghy in Florida. Delaney wrote a book about his years as a New Jersey state trooper infiltrating the mob. I have no facts to substantiate this, but it wouldn't surprise me if Delaney was one of the dirty refs in that game.
